Getting a head start of the day will help you avoid crowds and give you plenty of time to explore before you hop on an afternoon train through Tuscan hills and soft valleys as you make your way to Florence.
Overnight in Florence
This is the day for art and spectacular food. Florence’s art at the Uffizi Gallery is an ever-lasting wonder for a reason. Prepare to be transported by the artistic expressions of the greats as well as the gallery’s spectacular architecture. The same can be said for the Duomo with its bell tower and the famous Brunelleschi’s dome. Get some rest today and try some mouth-watering pasta in the warm embrace of Florence.

Today, you’ll get the chance to explore the vibrant shores of Cinque Terre. These five famously colourful villages offer breathtaking seaside views and a chance to taste the local Ligurian cuisine. Take in the coastal spirit by wandering around Vernazza’s narrow lanes, relax on Monterosso’s beaches, and don’t miss the scenic trail from Manarola to Corniglia for stunning coastal panoramas. In the evening, return to Florence.

Your Italian experience continues south, from coast to coast before settling in Naples, a city rich with history, vibrant street life and delicious food. Let yourself enjoy some delicious olive oil, fresh mozzarella and limoncello, crafted from the luscious lemons of Sorrento before heading on to the city from which they originate. Things to know
On our tours, we want to adjust to your needs as much as possible. That’s why we use a few different accommodations with the same quality. The place of your stay depends on your preferences, budget and availability, especially if we travel during peak season. But don’t worry, we will inform you in advance of all the details!
Your accommodations mostly include breakfast. For other meals, we are aware that everyone has different preferences, which is why we have decided to give you a free hand in choosing restaurants so everyone can eat what they want. We can recommend some places to you, and if you would like to eat at a particular restaurant or try local delicacies, we can make a reservation for you – just let us know. One thing is for sure – you will not go hungry!
Our train tours include local, regional, long-distance and sleeper trains, depending on the tour. We firmly stand behind environmentally friendly travel and authentic experiences, and train travel on established routes is the perfect combination of both. Some of our tours might include special experiences, such as riding aboard a steam train where that is possible.
We strongly encourage you to arrive at the train stations at least 15-30 minutes before your departure time to avoid any potential mishaps. Some of the train tickets may be flexible, meaning the departure time is not tied to the ticket and you can hop on another train, however, that is not always possible.
